Overview
The American Library Association seeks to ensure the preservation of free inclusive school, public, and academic library services as a foundation for educational and economic mobility, democratic engagement, and to promote library and information services (LIS) and the profession of librarianship. The association is leading the call for equal information access for all, including universal broadband and digital literacy, a racially and ethnically diverse LIS workforce, and the preservation of and expanded support for library services. This grant will provide general operating support.
