Overview
American Conservatory Theater (ACT) is a Tony Award-winning theater, accredited acting conservatory, and provider of education and community programs that reach more than 175,000 people annually. Its seven-show season is presented at both its iconic 1,040-seat Geary Theater, and more flexible 283-seat theater at The Strand, which opened in 2015. ACT also offers more than 75 readings, workshops, and performances at locations throughout San Francisco, which provide performance opportunities for its M.F.A. program and Young Conservatory students.
