Overview
With this grant support, Association members will work to incorporate into their practices and policies a new national framework of student learning outcomes called the Degree Qualifications Profile. It emphasizes deeper learning and defines what students should know and be able to do once they have earned associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees.

The American Association of Colleges and Universities is the leading national association dedicated to making quality and equity the foundations for excellence in undergraduate education. This grant will support the participation of 10 institutions from the California Community Colleges in the association’s Institute on Open Educational Resources. The institute utilizes a year-long engagement model and is an opportunity for campus teams to develop and implement an ambitious strategy to broaden campus engagement with and adoption of OER. for advancing evidence on the efficacy of OER  
The American Association of Colleges and Universities is the leading national association dedicated to making quality and equity the foundations for excellence in undergraduate education. With this grant, the association will undertake a two-year research project examining 18 institutions representing a wide range of institution types with high levels of OER adoption to discern how OER influences key student success outcomes, including end-of-course grades and DFW (D, F, and withdrawal letter grades) rates. This project aligns with the association’s core mission of promoting innovative and equitable practices for higher education in service to students and their success.
