Overview
Alonzo King LINES Ballet is recognized internationally for its signature contemporary dance vocabulary rooted in classical ballet. Each year, it performs for more than 50,000 people in the United States and abroad, including two seasons in San Francisco. In addition, LINES Ballet provides more than 80 weekly classes at its Dance Center in San Francisco’s Central Market neighborhood, and a suite of other education and community programs that reach more than 5,500 people annually. Renewed funding will support the organization’s goals to grow the number of people that participant in its local education and community programs, expand the number and geographic range of its international tours, and invest in key areas to strengthen its infrastructure.
