The Alameda County Arts Commission nurtures a thriving environment and economy for arts and culture across California’s seventh most populous county. Its arts education, public art, and regranting programs help sustain a creative community of more than 4,000 arts-related businesses and 600 nonprofit arts and culture organizations. Home to some of the greatest disparities in arts education access and participation rates in public schools in the Bay Area, the agency works to build public will, provide direct services, and support the implementation of statewide arts education policies. This grant to the Alameda County Arts Commission will advance the Program’s Youth strategy through the Policy and Advocacy substrategy.
