Overview
The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Foundation is the charitable arm of the AAUP enterprise. It has a commitment to academic freedom and shared governance, defines fundamental professional values and standards for higher education, and ensures higher education’s contribution to the common good. This three-year project grant will support AAUP’s Committee A on Academic Freedom and Tenure and any associated projects and reports. Since the Association’s founding in 1915, Committee A has functioned as the AAUP’s chief instrument for promoting academic freedom in order to ensure higher education’s contribution to the common good.
