Overview
Aarhus University is a nonprofit public university in Denmark. Its Department of Global Studies combines language-based area studies with international and European studies to address global issues. This project, led by Hagen Schulz-Forberg, mobilises legal, economic, and political thought to begin a process of rethinking global governance. While the conditionalities of the Washington Consensus illustrate neoliberal hegemony, recent experience drives home the message that not only does liberal internationalism need to rethink its normative foundations, but it needs to do so by including the environment and remaining inclusive to others. How can a new environmental economic management of peaceful, planetary cohabitation be achieved?
