Overview
As a global union federation, the International Domestic Workers Federation (IDWF) advocates for the rights of domestic workers. Founded and led by domestic workers, most of whom are women, IDWF enhances labor standards for domestic workers as stipulated by the International Labour Organization Convention 189. This flexible program grant will enable IDWF to strengthen the organizational capacity and advocacy of domestic workers’ unions in Africa to influence legal reforms and policy-making processes that advance decent working conditions for domestic workers. (Strategy: International Women's Economic Empowerment)
