Overview
Established in 2009, Africa Philanthropy Network (APN) is a space for African institutions to interrogate and intervene in the power dynamics that shape how resource mobilization, distribution, and spending impact the possibilities of transformative change in Africa. APN is the only continentwide network of organizations and individuals in Africa and its diaspora that promotes the culture of philanthropic giving. APN brings an ecosystem of philanthropy support institutions and civil society member organizations serving different forms of philanthropy currently in 48 African countries. This grant will allow APN to organize its flagship biennial convening, the 2024 APN Assembly on November 4-8 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. (Strategy: Inclusive Governance)
