Overview
As a feminist organization, the pan-African rapid-response fund, Urgent Action Fund Africa (UAF-Africa) plays a critical role in resourcing African feminist movements to transform inequitable power structures that diminish women's and gender-diverse people’s worth and undermine their rights. UAF-Africa provides rapid-response funding and accompaniment to African human rights defenders. With this grant, UAF-Africa will support LGBTQ+ activists and movements in East and Central Africa to advance sexual and gender minorities’ rights, gender justice, and democratic governance.
