The Institute for Social Accountability is a Kenyan civil society organization committed to promoting transparency, participation, and accountability through research, policy, and advocacy. It facilitates citizen oversight of the decentralization of Kenya’s governance and resource allocation through monitoring and campaigns such as the Okoa Uchumi campaigns for more public scrutiny of Kenya’s growing sovereign debt.
