Overview
The National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) is dedicated to achieving equity and a just future for Black children and families. NBCDI pursues these goals through research, advocacy, and the delivery of culturally relevant resources that respond to the unique strengths and needs of Black children, with emphasis on education, family engagement, health, and wellness. This grant establishes an education commission tasked with creating a shared narrative on how the science of learning and development can be used to create innovative and culturally responsive educational practices to improve learning outcomes for children.
