Overview
The East African Documentary Film Fund (Docubox) supports independent filmmakers through production grants, mentorship labs, training, and networking opportunities to create high-quality films that are used to bring about change in society. This grant will enable Docubox to develop a pilot project working with 10 filmmakers to produce films about sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice (SRHRJ) and conduct community impact screenings across East Africa. This project aims to show the power of storytelling as a tool to advance African-led SRHRJ narrative and policy change. (Strategy: Global Reproductive Equity)

Docubox supports filmmakers through production grants, mentorship labs, training, and networking opportunities to create high-quality films that are used to bring about change in society. Docubox aims to deepen these focal areas and launch the next phase of the Get Reel project to produce impactful films addressing sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, as well as conduct community impact screenings across East Africa.
