The Fund for Shared Insight is a funder collaborative focused on increasing foundation openness in service of greater effectiveness. This includes foundations sharing more openly about their work, as well as being more open to receiving feedback from those the collaborative ultimately seeks to help through its funding. The Fund for Shared Insight has 13 core funders and 83 additional funders, who on average collectively contribute approximately $8 million each year to a pooled fund at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. The fund has made grants to 435 organizations, totaling more than $24 million, and is committed to rigorous measurement and sharing its learnings.

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA) is a global nonprofit that accelerates philanthropy in pursuit of a just world. Founded in 2002, RPA has facilitated more than $4 billion in grantmaking to more than 70 countries and currently advises on and manages more than $500 million in annual giving by individuals, families, foundations, and corporations. RPA also serves as a fiscal sponsor for more than 100 projects, providing governance, management, and operational infrastructure to support their charitable purposes. In 2023, RPA launched the Foresight and Futures Initiative to help philanthropy institutionalize practices offered by the disciplines of foresight and futurism. This grant is for project support of the Foresight and Futures Initiative.
