This project will teach Oakland's science and history teachers techniques for designing and implementing project-based learning in their classrooms, an important instructional method for deeper learning. Projects will connect science and history to students' lives and challenge them to find creative solutions to problems they identify. This application of academic skills to the real world will better prepare students for college and careers.
