Overview
Following the closure of the North-South Institute (NSI), this grant will allow for the continuation of the Data Test project without interruption. The staff who were formerly at NSI will be employed as research fellows at The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and will continue their work on the Data Test. This project will determine the extent to which candidate post-2015 goals, targets and indicators can be measured in six countries representing low, middle and high income categories. The country case studies will identify key data gaps and feasibility for measuring development progress in the post-2015 framework. The project will identify opportunities and challenges to improve the quality, accessibility and transparency of data. which will inform the post-2015 deliberations. The case studies will be conducted by members of the Think Tank Initiative. The results from the project will be used to inform the post-2015 framework.
