Overview
With a mission to enable residents to become fully productive members of society, the New Hampshire Department of Education offers programs and services in support of students, teachers, educators, administrators, families, and community members. The Department will pilot test a measurement and accountability model in selected districts that assesses deeper learning outcomes and uses transparent reporting on a broad range of indicators. The model will identify achievement levels for all students and support continuous improvement of the education system. The deeper learning movement will benefit from design and testing of trustworthy new models of assessment and accountability that reciprocally engage states and school districts in establishing more meaningful measures learning for which they will be held accountable.
