Overview
Oxfam proposes to address women’s "heavy and unequal" care work in six countries—Malawi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Colombia, and the Philippines—by implementing participatory research and change strategies. This is part of Oxfam’s efforts to change the terms of debate on economic development and women’s empowerment. The program will develop mixed method tools that are cost-effective and user-friendly to collect context-specific evidence about women’s care and economic activities, and explore pathways to change using Oxfam and partners’ ongoing initiatives and advocacy.
