Overview
The New Models Working Group is a funder-led effort to create greater coherence and clout among philanthropic peers and thought leaders working to dramatically increase the equity, effectiveness, and efficiency of learning systems and strategies to prepare all students for college and careers. This proposal outlines the concept for the project. Its design and activities will evolve over the coming year based on external opportunities and the interest and input of participating foundations.

In 2009, it launched the Education Funder Strategy Group as a learning community for leading foundations focused on education policy, from early childhood to college and career readiness and success. The group’s mission is to help maximize philanthropy’s effectiveness in systemically improving public education for all students as the foundation for a healthy democracy and vibrant communities.
