Overview
The Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad (IMCO) is a nonpartisan think tank specializing in policy analysis and evidence-based advocacy to improve Mexico’s institutional framework for economic growth, as well as increasing government transparency and accountability. IMCO generates research to inform public debate on how government policies could improve Mexico’s competitiveness, in addition to advocating for better public sector performance overall. This renewal for general operating support will allow IMCO to continue to produce competitiveness indices at the international, national, and subnational levels. It will also help IMCO improve its capacity to use new technologies to increase its impact and outreach, continue to produce research on public finance and government transparency, as well as deepen engagement with education and public security policy in Mexico.
