Overview
Each year, Berkeley Symphony Orchestra performs a four-concert series at Zellerbach Hall on the U.C. Berkeley campus, highlighting contemporary and less familiar traditional symphonic literature and reaching an audience of almost 6,500 people. With its first new music director in thirty years at the helm and a recently appointed executive director, the orchestra continues to provide innovative programming to the local community, as well as its Music in the Schools program to every Berkeley public elementary school student. Renewed support would enable this financially stable and artistically sound organization to continue to deliver quality orchestral music.
