Overview
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a nongovernmental organization based in Accra, Ghana, that strengthens the capacity of civil society organizations across 17 countries in West Africa through training, peer learning, and knowledge sharing. Through this grant, WACSI will support peer learning and collaboration among civil society organizations operating in French- and English-speaking countries across West Africa that are adopting innovative approaches to active citizen engagement and social accountability.

for support to a social accountability grantee convening in West Africa
The West Africa Civil Society Institute is a nongovernmental organization located in Accra that acts as a resource center for the capacity building of civil society organizations throughout West Africa. Through this grant, the West Africa Civil Society Institute will plan and convene the second in a series of workshops to facilitate peer learning and exchange among civil society organizations that are social accountability practitioners in West Africa. As a result, workshop participants will co-create knowledge products that capture social accountability experiences and results from West Africa, a region that is less well documented in research and learning within the transparency, participation, and accountability field.
