Overview
Children Now is a statewide hub for connecting organizations and advocates that work on children’s issues in California. With this grant, Children Now will work with state and local policymakers and a diverse range of stakeholders to support and strengthen California’s new accountability system. Children Now also will help policymakers articulate a vision for high-quality technical assistance that struggling schools and districts can use to ensure they have the resources they need to meet the state’s new standards.

Children Now conducts research, policy development, and advocacy reflecting a whole child approach to ensure all children reach their full potential. They serve as a statewide hub for connecting organizations and advocates that focus on children’s issues in California. Working with a diverse range of stakeholders, Children Now supports and improves K-12 education in the state. This grant will support the merger of another nonprofit into Children Now (K-12 Teaching and Learning).
