Overview
This grant will support the Research Conference on Population, Reproductive Health and Economic Development hosted by the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. in September 2016. This is a continuation of annual research conferences that began in 2006 with the Population Poverty Research Initiative (PopPov). The PopPov Initiative is officially winding down, and this is the first conference being hosted by a different organization than the PopPov Secretariat. In order to ensure a smooth transition from the fully-funded conferences in the past, Foundation support will enable African-based scholars and graduate students to travel and participate in this meeting.
