The Center for Game Science at the University of Washington allows computer scientists, researchers, software engineers, and curriculum specialists to work with the College of Education to develop, study, and assess aspects of the education ecosystem. The center will develop and test adaptive real-time learning interventions for students based on measures of intrapersonal competencies, particularly productive struggle and mindsets related to problem solving. for leadership practice trajectories for transformed and equitable schools
The University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership works with education leaders to create empowering and equitable school experiences for students. This grant supports research on the practices of school leaders in two areas: how they observe and analyze classroom instruction and how they use these observations to design professional learning experiences for teachers. From this research, the Center will develop new professional learning strategies for school principals and other school leaders. As such, this grant advances the Education Program’s priorities of growing new exemplars of teacher practice, new knowledge about transforming education systems, new voices in discourse about public education and new conversations about teaching and learning.
