Overview
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools, supported by a network of affiliate chapters in 85 countries. The organization will develop and implement a global affiliate network strategy to support its chapters to work in open education, open policy, and open access research. A more robust infrastructure for OER licensure will help practitioners and policymakers solve major challenges in education around the world.

This grant will provide general operating support for Creative Commons as it works toward its bold vision over the next several years. The work of Creative Commons furthers the transparency goals of the Foundation in general and provides a core infrastructure for the OER movement.
