California Planned Parenthood Education Fund

The California Planned Parenthood Education Fund (CPPEF) provides policy analysis and information, advocacy tools, and technical and legal services to its member organizations, coalition partners, and the general public on issues related to reproductive health. CPPEF works to affect both state and national policies. This grant would support CPPEF’s activities in a range of reproductive health issues, including programs to expand the number of practitioners trained to provide reproductive health care services, policy advocacy around coverage of reproductive health services under health care reform, and the development of proactive communication strategies that promote the importance of access to comprehensive reproductive health care services. It is notable that during the prior grant period while most other states were debating measures to roll back reproductive rights, the California legislature was considering measures developed by CPPEF to expand these rights and access to services.
