Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
San Francisco Jazz Organization (SFJAZZ) presents more than 100 performances that reach 80,000 audience members annually. Best known for the San Francisco Jazz Festival, a multi-week concert series each fall presenting jazz artists from around the world, the organization also presents a five-month spring season of concerts, films, and education events, and Summerfest, a series of free public concerts throughout the Bay Area. All of its programs will be integrated under one roof when SFJAZZ opens the doors to its first permanent home, the $50 million SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco's Hayes Valley in fall 2012, a milestone that represents a new level of organizational maturity and responsibility for the organization.
