Overview
The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was established in early 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help Europe foster the development of a low-carbon society and play an even stronger international leadership role in mitigating climate change. ECF advances policy in the areas of energy, transportation, buildings, low-carbon finance, industry, and energy efficiency. The organization works to develop policy at the local, national, and European Union level. They also support international efforts to mitigate carbon emissions through the United Nations and G20. for transport program
The European Climate Foundation works to foster the transition to a net-zero society to ensure a healthy planet and sustainable living conditions for current and future generations. Its transport program is a critical partner to our zero-emissions transportation strategy. Using a multifaceted approach that advances vehicle standards and charging infrastructure, highlighting the benefits to jobs and health, the foundation’s grantees will work to electrify all European road transport by 2050.
