Overview
The American Lung Association in California has, for many years, played a leading role engaging the health community in support of state policies to reduce smog-forming and global warming pollution. A $75,000 grant will help them bolster and expand their on-going work to respond to increased attacks against the state's new global warming regulations by oil companies and other polluting entities whose emissions will be curbed by those regulations. Health professionals who remind decision-makers and the public about the health benefits of cleaner transportation, electricty, and industrial practices are potent advocates who can help protect California's nascent global warming solutions program.
