Overview
This grant will support EngenderHealth to continue to build its program for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Francophone West Africa. During this second phase of the Comprehensive Abortion Care project, EngenderHealth will build on its work in Côte d’Ivoire to expand into Benin and Burkina Faso with the aim of improving policy and service environments for abortion care. The project will work with governments to ensure youth-friendly services and build the capacity of civil society organizations to advocate for expanded access to safe abortion services.

This grant will support the work of EngenderHealth to deepen and expand its program for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Francophone West Africa. EngenderHealth will focus on its work with youth-led organizations in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Togo to strengthen their organizations and their impact as voices for accountability in the region. EngenderHealth is a leading global health organization working to implement high-quality, gender equitable programs that advance sexual and reproductive health and rights.
