Overview
UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report serves as an independent monitor of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal on equitable learning. This grant will support production and dissemination of GEM’s annual report tracking progress and gaps at the country and global levels against agreed indicators. The GEM Report serves as a credible and independent source of evidence for governments, donors, civil society groups, and the media.

Grants to this Grantee
for international OER capacity building
As mentioned in our budget memo, this project proposes to continue the momentum gained during the World OER Congress by implementing OER projects at the secondary and tertiary levels in four regions: Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and the Arab States. UNESCO proposes a series of regional workshops to support OER advocacy, policy development, and teacher training initiatives. This work complements the Commonwealth of Learning OER project, also proposed on this docket.
