For Support To The Transparency, Accountability, And Citizen Engagement In West Africa Initiative

Overview
The Stanford Institute for Economic and Policy Research carries out research that governments, civil society, and businesses around the world can use to solve problems. Through this initiative, which supports postdoctoral scholarship, the institute will contribute knowledge about what works and does not work related to strengthening citizens’ abilities to demand and obtain high-quality services from public agencies and providers, with a focus on Francophone West Africa. The institute will share this knowledge among academics, government officials, civil society organizations, and funders who may use it to design or improve government transparency, citizen participation, and accountability interventions in the region.
