Overview
The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University was founded more than 60 years ago (in 1954) and has been home to Nobel, Pulitzer, and MacArthur Fellowship winners. The center continues to build on its original mission of "advancing human welfare" by generating "knowledge for the maximum benefit of individuals and society." The unique setting and culture of CASBS makes it the ideal nursery for cutting-edge approaches to critical social problems. It is currently engaged in a capital campaign to refurbish and renovate the center and build some collaborative space. During the term of this grant, CASBS will be able to finish the first stage of its campaign.
