Overview
This grant will support the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Rutgers University to launch an annual lecture to educate students, faculty, and the public about global women’s health issues. The lecture series is named in honor of Anita Ashok Datar, who was killed during a terrorist incident in Mali in 2015. The Anita Ashok Datar Lecture will be an opportunity for students to learn directly from outstanding leaders in public health whose research, activism, and on-the-ground work are making a difference for people in developing countries.
