Koh Boon Hwee

Koh Boon Hwee is the chairman of Credence Capital, a private equity fund focused on investing in SMEs in Southeast Asia.
In a non-executive capacity, he is also the chairman of publicly-listed Sunningdale Tech, Ltd.; Yeo Hiap Seng Limited; Far East Orchard Limited; and AAC Technologies Holdings, Inc. Mr. Koh is also the chairman of privately held Rippledot Capital Advisers Pte, Ltd., FEO Hospitality Asset Management and FEO Hospitality Trust Management Pte, Ltd. He currently also serves on the board of Agilent Technologies (Santa Clara, CA). He contributes actively to nonprofit organizations, and is the current chairman of the board of trustees of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Mr. Koh started his career in 1977 at Hewlett-Packard and rose to become its managing director in Singapore, a post he held from 1985 to 1990. From 1991 to 2000, he was executive chairman of the Wuthelam Group.
Mr. Koh was also chairman of the Singapore Telecom Group (SingTel), and its predecessor organizations, from 1986 to 2001. He was appointed chairman of Singapore Airlines Limited in July 2001, a post he held until December 2005. He joined DBS Bank as a director in June 2005, was appointed chairman in January 2006, and served in that capacity until April 2010. Boon Hwee served on the board of Temasek Holdings Pte, Ltd. from November 1996 to September 2010, and was a member of the executive committee from January 1997 to September 2010.
Mr. Koh was named the Outstanding Manager of the Year in 1991 by Business Times and DHL Worldwide, and was conferred the International Herald Tribune Visionaries and Leaders Award in January 2003.
Mr. Koh received his bachelor’s (with first class honours) in mechanical engineering from the Imperial College of Science and Technology at the University of London, and his MBA (distinction) from the Harvard Business School.
