Sydney Rosengarten

Program Associate, Environment

Sydney Rosengarten (she/her) is a program associate in the Environment Program, where she manages grants relating to U.S. climate portfolio. The work she supports embraces a holistic approach to decarbonizing American society, keeping communities healthy, and supporting economic prosperity for all.

Before joining the Hewlett Foundation, Sydney led operations and compliance at Inequality Media with Robert Reich in Berkeley, California. Sydney believes in the interconnectedness of all social issues and has worked at climate, reproductive rights, economic justice, and voter engagement-focused groups. She has held programmatic and strategic operations roles at organizations like The Sunrise Project US and A Better Wisconsin Together. Sydney started her career organizing at Planned Parenthood. During her time there, she developed a program that forged creative partnerships between local artists and touring musicians to fundraise for reproductive health care access.

Sydney holds a bachelor’s degree in gender and women’s studies and global health from the University of Wisconsin.
