Megan Olmsted
Megan Olmsted is the HR Operations Manager at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Megan manages operations across several HR functions. She aims to ensure compliance, efficiency, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
Before her work at the Hewlett Foundation, Megan spent eight years at the Skoll Foundation, gaining experience in payroll administration, HRIS management, HR regulatory compliance, system implementations, and talent acquisition. During her time at Skoll, Megan recognized she was energized by finding ways to streamline processes and implementing new tools to help with efficiency. Before Skoll, Megan worked in administrative roles at various startups and nonprofits.
Megan received her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University, and in 2022, she earned her Professional in Human Resources – California certification (PHRca), demonstrating her knowledge of California-specific HR laws and regulations.
