Luis Laboy
Luis Laboy, CFA, brings 27 years of investment experience to his role as Director of Public Equity for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s $14 billion endowment portfolio. He is responsible for the selection and oversight of external managers in global equities.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2016, Luis was a co-manager for one of RWC Partners’ core equity portfolios. In this role, and in earlier roles at Everest Capital and Dresdner RCM Capital, Luis generated long and short equity ideas, constructed portfolios, and identified global thematic investment trends. While at Dresdner RCM, he was a co-manager of the flagship global emerging markets fund, rated four stars by Morningstar and in the top quintile of the Lipper performance group. Luis started his career as a fundamental research analyst at Dresdner Bank Mexico, after getting his bachelor’s in economics from the University of New Hampshire, and later earning his CFA and CMT designations.
