Caitlan Frederick

Program Associate, Environment Program

Caitlan (she/her) is a Program Associate in the Environment Program, where she manages grants related to clean energy, critical minerals, and climate funding to support India’s climate progress.

Prior to joining the foundation, Caitlan was a researcher at the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, where she researched strategies to increase food system sustainability, how to promote justice within food systems faced with climate shocks and/or food insecurity, and how to uplift youth action to elicit change.

Caitlan has a bachelor’s degree in marine biology with an emphasis on climate change studies from the University of California, San Diego. She also served as the undergraduate student representative for UCSD’s first Campus Climate Change Committee. In her free time, Caitlan enjoys outdoor recreation activities, crafting, and attempting to keep up with her energetic german shepherd dog.
