Akansha Ramesh Rao

Akansha Ramesh Rao is a Legal and Compliance Officer at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. She supports the work of the entire legal team, provides legal and compliance support and project management support. She is the legal department lead for contracts, assists with the Foundation’s legal filings, data collection and analysis, manages the Foundation’s Conflict of Interest process and the legal department’s operations. She works on contract matters and compliance initiatives. Additionally, she provides legal support to the foundation’s program and operations staff.

Before coming to the foundation, Akansha worked at Stanford Health Care in its contracts administration department. Prior to that, she was a part of various domestic and international law firms, working in diverse fields like immigration, real estate, and engineering consultancy.

Akansha was born and raised in India. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English literature, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Mumbai, and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Santa Clara University.
