We are pleased to announce the January 4, 2008 launch of the California Cultural Data Project (California CDP). This project is the most ambitious and comprehensive effort ever to gather and analyze information about the contributions of the cultural sector to California’s economy and quality of life. During the coming year, applicants to many California grant programs, including the Hewlett Foundation, will be asked to participate in the California CDP.
The Cultural Data Project gives arts organizations a standardized application process that over time will enable them to track and analyze their financial and organizational data and compare the information with that of their peers.
