The Hewlett Foundation is pleased to announce a grant to start up the Climate Finance Fund, an independent platform at the European Climate Foundation. The Fund will focus on mobilizing capital to drive solutions to the climate crisis.
Marilyn Waite, who developed the Hewlett Foundation’s climate finance strategy, will lead the Climate Finance Fund with a goal of being even more nimble and responsive to the rapidly changing dynamics of the financial market.
As such, the Hewlett Foundation will direct its funding for climate finance to the Climate Finance Fund and no longer make grants directly to the field in this area. However, it is committed to continuing to support the climate finance strategy as an essential component of addressing the climate crisis. Organizations interested in climate finance funding should directly apply to the Climate Finance Fund at the European Climate Foundation.
