Want to get out of the house and in touch with nature? Hewlett grantee ParkInfo makes it easy. Just plug your address into a form at parkinfo.org, select Park, Trail, or Campground, and press Go. Up pops a map and a list of your closest choices. The site lets you set the distance anywhere from a mile away to as far as thirty miles from the address you enter. Along with a zoomable map and the usual choices of map or satellite view, a pop-up locator provides driving directions, and a link to Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, takes you close enough to see passing boats on a campground lake. The site is a collaborative effort made possible by both public and nonprofit organizations.
