The Hewlett Foundation’s Education Program engaged SRI Education (part of SRI International) to evaluate the Foundation’s investment in the Open Educational Resources Research Hub (OERRH), which is based at the Open University in the UK and was founded in 2012 to conduct, support, synthesize, and disseminate research on the impact of Open Educational Resources (OER) on learning and teaching practices.

This evaluation report focuses on “the accomplishments and challenges of OERRH, the value delivered through its work, the role it plays in the global OER research community, and recommendations for the future of OERRH as the landscape of OER and OER research continues to evolve.”

The report’s findings are based on interviews with the OERRH team, its partners and additional experts, as well as a literature review of OER-related articles published between 2012 and 2014.
