Open Educational Resources (OER) can be a valuable tool in creating greater equity among diverse populations at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Although current OER implementation at HBCUs is limited, there is a significant opportunity for growth and impact. Many of the challenges that HBCUs face regarding OER implementation may be mitigated by the strategic targeting of resources, particularly through collaborations that increase OER trainings and awareness, technological infrastructure and resources, and the development and organization of OER materials.
