Overview
Women Deliver held its fifth global conference in Vancouver, Canada, in June 2019. The conference was a platform for advocates and practitioners to learn, collaborate, and influence policies and decision making on gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights. This grant supported scholarships for young leaders to attend the conference and youth pre-conference, which contributed to the exchange of ideas and best practices to improve the health and well-being of women and girls.

This global conference of over 3,000 participants will focus worldwide attention on the urgency of Millennium Development Goal 5-reducing maternal mortality by three-quarters-and on interim and short-term solutions to improve the health and well-being of girls and women.
