Overview
The Wilderness Society received an organizational effectiveness grant in 2013 to conduct an audit of its fundraising capabilities. Based on the audit, The Society made significant staffing changes in its development program which resulted in an increase in donor contributions. One area the audit recommended for focus remains unaddressed. To broaden the fundraising capacities of the organization, the audit urged The Society to train more of its senior staff in strategic donor fundraising techniques. This organizational effectiveness grant would cover the cost of hiring a consultant to train 45 staff members from The Society's offices around the country.
