Village of Wisdom

This grant will support Village of Wisdom, an organization that works to foster intellectual curiosity and positive identity development for children from historically marginalized communities through the codesign of culturally affirming learning environments informed by the wisdom and cultural wealth of parents in collaboration with educators.

Village of Wisdom supports family organizing and advocacy work to promote racial justice in schools. The group conducts research and creates community-validated tools that support educators and Black parents in taking strategic actions that translate into high-quality, culturally affirming learning environments for all students. The organization also offers professional learning and political education opportunities for educators and Black parents. This grant will support Village of Wisdom’s mission to create more culturally affirming learning environments.
