Overview
At the Learning Research & Development Center within the University of Pittsburgh, the Institute for Learning’s (IFL’s) fellows collaborate with teachers and leaders in school districts serving large numbers of systematically marginalized students. The IFL stands at the intersection of research and practice, partnering with states, districts, and schools to support educators across all levels of the system. This project grant to the University of Pittsburgh will support the IFL’s collaboration and planning efforts to implement a network of leaders in partnering districts committed to strengthening English Language Arts and/or civics instruction. IFL will partner with TNTP, a national nonprofit founded by teachers, to provide excellent teachers to the students who need them most. (Strategy: K-12 Teaching and Learning)
